Sermon Series:
A Time to Build | Message One
The Bible says "For everything there is a season" (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Join us for this season, and this series, that is all about building: Building community, building a new worship center, building God's Kingdom, and building up one another.
Scriptures | Mark 1:15; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 12:2
“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” Mark 1:15
If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2
Question 1: You don’t have to have heard the sermon from Sunday, but if you were in church, watched online, or listened to the podcast, what stuck with you?
Question 2: God doesn’t just create life (Genesis 1:1), God changes life (see scriptures above). What are ways that God has changed, and continues to change, your life today?
Question 3: God is God and we are not. We can’t be Christ, but we can and should be Christ-like. This means that we join Jesus in how he changes life. A church, our purpose is to change lives. What are ways that you have seen God change life – your life or someone else’s – as a result of them being connected at Circle?
Question 4: If our purpose is to change lives, how does our new worship center help us achieve that purpose? Jeremy answered this question in two ways in his message. First, we are out of space. We saw over 200+ visitors in 2024 but we only have about 100 chairs in the worship center. Second, buildings are tools for the Kingdom. Facilities are called facilities because they facilitate! The new worship center will facilitate our spiritual purpose. How would you answer this question: If our purpose is to change lives, how does our new worship center help us achieve that purpose?
Question 5: Ecclesiastes 3 says “For everything there is a season.” As an individual, what is this season in your life about? What is this season of life about for some of the folks you know and care about at Circle? (Hint: They may be in a different season than you). As a church family collectively, we are in a time to build. How does this change our thoughts, our actions, our perspective, or our prayers as a church?
